I am still in disbelief at how rude and unprofessional the staff at this pot belly’s location is. While we were there we took a while looking at the menu, no one was behind us so we didn’t rush.

When we decided what we wanted the 4-5 people standing behind the counter didn’t say a word to us, didn’t even look our direction. We ended up going down to the cashier thinking maybe we ordered there because they weren’t busy enough. A woman told us to go back down to the order station which we did with no problem. My friend went first and I heard her tell the woman she didn’t hear her, she said she tried helping us but we weren’t paying attention.

She said “I kept saying how can I help you, how can I help you, how can I help you” Which is NOT true, she was back there chatting with the other co workers completely ignoring us. And even if that were true is that how you greet your customers? Finally I went up to order, I asked for a ham and swiss with avocado, the lady behind the counter said “I DONT DO AVOCADO!!” confused I asked if they were out of avocado she said no I just don’t do avocado and pointed down to the next station. Still confused I told her I wanted mayo onion and lettuce she then rolled her eyes and said “I don’t do toppings!!

What bread do you want!” Was it really that hard to just tell me from the get go that the next station is responsible for toppings instead of treating me like I’m an idiot? I moved down the line and the man behind me seemed to have had a bad experience with your ever so friendly employee that he stormed out. The next station was just as bad. She didn’t say anything except “ham and cheese?” Which I BARELY HEARD, but I assumed she was asking which toppings.

I told her what I wanted and looked down at my phone for a second the man next to me tapped me and said “I think she said something to you but I’m not sure?” I looked up and her and the previous girl are whispering to each other, I heard her say “{{Redacted}} I asked you a question” so I immediately raised my voice and told her “ I’m sorry I didn’t hear you?” And of course she rolled her eyes “no” and handed me my sandwich after saying more things under her breath. At this point I’m fuming, I was in disbelief at how rude these two women were! Fed up I asked for the manager. She comped my milkshake but I didn’t care for free stuff, she needed to know how inappropriate her staff is.

If anyone ever asks me where to eat after spending the day at the harbor I will most definitely be telling them to never step foot in this place even if it’s the only place open. Correct your staff, the way we were treated was inexcusable.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.
